Well, after a month of wailing and gnashing of teeth, Dave’s Lounge has finally made it into the iTunes Podcast Directory. I want to thank all my subscribers out there for their support over the last three months, and I hope you all continue to enjoy the show…
It’s official! Dave’s Lounge has been accepted into the iTunes Affiliate Program. This means that when you click on an iTunes link in the show notes and purchase that song, I will receive a 5% commission for the sale. This supports the artists your hear on Dave’s Lounge, and it keeps this podcast free of those annoying advertisements.
Here’s a quick list of songs previously played on Dave’s Lounge that are available now through iTunes. Click on those links to purchase them:
Greetings, Daily Source Code listeners! Glad to see my little promo brought you to the Lounge. Feel free to take a look around and download any and all shows you see here. You’ll find a lot of great music in past shows, so don’t miss out! Collect ‘em all and share ‘em with your friends!
Thanks for the airtime…er, podtime, Adam. Now about that Trip Hop category on the Podsafe Music Network… (Cue C.C. Chapman screaming, “I KNOW! I KNOW! I TOLD YOU IT’S ON THE LIST, OKAY!?”)
As most of you know, I don’t play podcast promos on Dave’s Lounge, but I do play shoutouts from other podcasters. I decided to have some fun with those shoutouts tonight.
Welcome to a special edition of Dave’s Lounge. A special welcome to new listeners who heard my interview on Podcast411. I know you’re gonna dig this…
Artemis’ new CD, Gravity, came out a few months ago, and there was no way I could pick just one song from that CD to play. So I had to give this woman her own show. I think she’s that good, and I think you’ll agree with me after listening.
I encourage all of you subscribers out there to buy Artemis’ two CDs. You can find them both at Amazon for only $9.99 each. They will be the best music purchases you make all year…
I’m having a few issues with redesigning the template at the moment. This may take a few days to work out, so please be patient with me.
UPDATE (11:10 AM): As you can see, I’ve cleaned things up a bit this morning. The design isn’t quite how I would like it, but it’s readable, which is good enough for me for now. I’ll be beating on the Libsyn templates again in the near future, though…
Okay, so this isn’t the special episode. I’ve decided to save that until I hit double digits. I’ve also decided to start releasing shows in the middle of the week rather than on weekends — mostly because I’d like to keep my weekends free in the future, for various reasons.
This show features a track from Bent’s excellent album “Ariels,” which features vocal performances from Rachel Foster of Weekend Players and Sian Evans of Kosheen. This CD was never released in the U.S., but it is now available on iTunes. Click here to check it out.
