This week’s episode is dedicated to Keith Shapiro, co-host of the Confessing the Blues podcats, who passed away unexpectedly on August 5. Keith was a fantastic resource for blues music and blues history, and as someone who DJs blues dances on the side here in Durham, I will miss his contributions to music podcasting quite a bit. (Ironically, Keith hated trip hop and railed against DJs who played Portishead at blues dances, but I’ve never held that against him.)

For a variety of reasons, I couldn’t bring myself to do a full show this week, but I didn’t want to leave y’all empty-handed.
